Born in Belgium, Jill van Coppenolle holds an MSc in Applied Economics. Being interested in conflict studies and migration, she continued her studies at the London School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and obtained an MSc in violence, conflict and development studies.
In February 2019, Jill started working as Government and Foundation intern at International Crisis Group Brussels. Since June, she has also joined the EU advocacy and research team.
Her interests include migration, conflict prevention & resolution, aid effectiveness, development economics and international/EU relations. Being passionate about migration she is highly motivated to contribute to the IWB for Refugees project.
Jill is fluent in Dutch and English and has good command of French.
